ELAINE'S OBITUARY

FRANKLIN and OLD SAYBROOK , CONN. — Elaine Lucille Mannetho, 72, passed away Oct. 4, 2011, peacefully at her home. Born Oct. 14, 1938, in Grindstone, Pa. , the daughter of Walter and Bernice Nichols.

Elaine lived most of her early life along the Connecticut shoreline. Throughout her life she worked as a companion and homemaker. An avid gardener, she loved yard sales, flea markets, the Goodwill and going to the casino with her family. She could make any house beautiful.

Survivors include sister, Penny McFarland of Virginia; four sons, Kevin DeToro, Centerbrook, Conn., Michael Scott, Franklin, Eric and Shawn Wilkinson, Franklin; two daughters, Penny Scott, Eastbrook and Wendy Wilkinson, Fort Myers, Fla.; grandchildren, Kelly DeToro and Paige Scott, Franklin, Tyler Scott, Carly, Casey and Cody Walden, Eastbrook, Morgan, Christopher, Nicholas, and Mary Sarro, Franklin, Eric, Cameron, Naomi, and Jude Wilkinson, Franklin, and Presley Wilkinson, Franklin; her good friend, Laurie Blair, Chester, Conn.; her best friend, Charlotte Husted and her husband, Jimmy, Clinton, Conn. She was predeceased by her son, Roger Scott.
